Deleting trojan also removes VF_WOWLAUNCHER.exe

Postby yuuki » 03 Sep 2017, 16:02

Trojan my windows defender detected:

Win32/Tilken.B!cl

Action taken: Deleted file

What happens after is VF_WOWLAUNCHER.exe is gone from my computer.

Does anyone know how these 2 files are related?
Is "Win32/Tilken.B!cl" a part of the launcher that is supposed to be there?

Extra info: I've always added C:\Program Files (x86)\VF_WowLauncher to exceptions in my antivirus.

It's a false positive.

Add the software and/or the path to the launcher in your whitelists.

So is "Win32/Tilken.B!cl" not a virus?

Our launcher does not have any virus but those softwares detect it as being infected. Just whitelist the launcher and it's all fine

Confirming this.

Windows defender is deleting the progam due to this and blocks the possibility to reinstall it.

Have redownloaded it and whitelisted it and it works now works.
